I'm using chrome, I'm not sure whether this would apply to other browsers.
I often block something only to find out straight away that doing so has buggered up the whole site. I therefore go to the options page and look for the only-just-blocked-element under the 'Add your own filters' tab. The information there is largely meaningless. A lot of the blocked elements are code which has little to no reference to the site I'm on in the description, making it very difficult to find the piece I'm after.
Could I suggest that a time and date signature are added to the entries in that tab, or some other way of sorting through them?

You can use the (new) ABP panel to see what filters are applied on the page you are testing:
