Hi,
I am new to the forum so apologies if this a repeat question. I wanted to know that is there any way advertisers can find out when a user visits a website, if an ad is being blocked or not? Since a call doesn't go through to the adservers, how does an ad exchange determine if the call not going through was due to adblocker or something else?
Adblocking mechanisms
Re: Adblocking mechanisms
That is, the ad-exchange can't tell (unless maybe it has related analytics scripts that are not blocked), but the site the ads are served on can tell, and although we can work around most attempts to tell, we can't keep the site the ads are served on from being able to tell, once and for all.
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.
