Question on legality of this

Post by rromano »

Dear all,

i want to ask: Is it legal to remove some program/website code (ads.) on user side after loaded website (the Adblock logic)?

If it is, the second question: Is it legal to put your own ads. on the webpages that user visit, but user to give you permissions for that (is not spam kind of ads. b/c users will give you permissions for that)?

Best wishes,

My understanding is that both are legal: It is legal for the end-user to block ads, and it is legal for extension vendors to make their extensions ad-supported, as long as informed consent is obtained.
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.
