nice!

which I like most: "off2blanc16" and "offfinoir16".

The black cross is definately too thick. At least A and P should be visible.

The white "OFF" icon suits me. What's your point of view ? Which one do you prefer ?

Personnally, I think this white OFF will not be very easy to differentiate (compared to the "ABP" normal icon).

Maybe, she's indeed too thick, but at least the "disable" status is visible (for those who found the first version not enought visble...).

The last set of icons that efdur posted look very nice! I personally think that the disabled icon should be grayed out much like other items in most programs are grayed out when they are disabled. However, if the designer wants to use an X to show that it is turned off or disabled, then having the X behind the word OFF or ABP is the best way to go.

I like the "X" in the background. I would prefer the letters ABP instead of OFF.

yes, "ABP" with a thick cross in the background could bee nice! It's worth to try it.

Hello,

I use Adblock Plus 0.7 and I use others icons on my chrome/userChrome.css :

Code: Select all
/* Status bar icon (16x16) */
#abp-status image {
  /* Regular icon */
  list-style-image: url("16abp-enabled.png") !important;
}
#abp-status[deactivated] image {
  /* Adblock Plus is disabled */
  list-style-image: url("16abp-disabled.png") !important;
}
#abp-status[disabled="true"] image {
  /* Adblock Plus didn't load properly */
  list-style-image: url("16abp-defunc.png") !important;
}

/* Toolbar icon when using regular icon size (24x24) */
#abp-toolbarbutton {
  /* Regular icon */
  list-style-image: url("24abp-enabled.png") !important;
}
#abp-toolbarbutton[deactivated] {
  /* Adblock Plus is disabled */
  list-style-image: url("24abp-disabled.png") !important;
}
#abp-toolbarbutton[disabled="true"] {
  /* Adblock Plus didn't load properly */
  list-style-image: url("24abp-defunc.png") !important;
}

/* Toolbar icon when using small icons (16x16) */
toolbar[iconsize="small"] #abp-toolbarbutton {
  /* Regular icon */
  list-style-image: url("16abp-enabled.png") !important;
}
toolbar[iconsize="small"] #abp-toolbarbutton[deactivated] {
  /* Adblock Plus is disabled */
  list-style-image: url("16abp-disabled.png") !important;
}
toolbar[iconsize="small"] #abp-toolbarbutton[disabled="true"] {
  /* Adblock Plus didn't load properly */
  list-style-image: url("16abp-defunc.png") !important;
}

But, How to use/include white list icon?

thanx in advance for the reply,
Darken

The whitelist icon is not a feature of AB+ 0.7 yet.

@efdur: Sorry if there was a misunderstanding - I didn't say that your icons are more blurry than the current Adblock Plus icons. The point is simply that the current icons got their beating already and I don't want to give people more reason to complain. If we switch the icons it should be very obvious that the new icons are better.

I like your icons from http://p2.forumforfree.com/-vp5451-adbl ... .html#5451 - but I would still prefer them to say ABP. And maybe the cross shouldn't be rounded, it looks strange. Could you maybe send me the big versions of the icons so that I can play around with them a little?

@efdur: Thanks, that's what I meant. I'll try to resize it "manually", hopefully it comes out better then.

PS: You should edit your link, it is "chez-alice.fr", not "chez.alice.fr".

Edit: Yes, I see the problem now. The lines in your original image are not exactly diagonal, they are always off by a few pixel. This causes a mess when resizing.
