Looks like it hurt me adding this, seems it broke in chrome :o I'll revert this till its fixed. It looks like a adblock for chrome issue rather..

Adblock Plus for Chrome uses the same code and will work correctly, it is really only Chrome Adblock where backwards compatibility won't work...

Will there be a config entry to turn this off like NoScript has?

All you have to do is disable the filter to turn it off.

WTF is this header for? tracking the person who does not want to be tracked?

The header is sent to request exactly the opposite: that the user is not tracked. It has even been suggested that industry practice might require that the request is honoured.

Please note that the header name changed into DNT (https://hg.adblockplus.org/adblockplus/rev/90fb9d0e85ba).

In the latest beta of firefox 4 (beta 11) DNT is supported by a new entry in options that says "Tell websites I don't want to be tracked", anyone who wants this feature can enable this function. So, what is the necessity of having DNT in EasyPrivacy ? I think the DNT rule sould be removed when firefox 4 final version release comes

a) Adblock Plus 1.3.5 will be out (significantly?) before Firefox 4.
b) Firefox 3.5/3.6 users as well as SeaMonkey/Songbird users might be interested in protecting their privacy as well.
c) Anybody who uses EasyPrivacy already indicated that he cares about his privacy, why require them to check another option?
d) The Adblock Plus feature is way more flexible than the planned Firefox feature and allows exceptions on particular domains for example (whether this will be necessary is something we still need to see).

I have another one question;

When a tracking element is blocked via EasyPrivacy, does the DNT header still goes to the tracking company ?
