I understand that the internet economy depends on advertising, so I don’t generally want to block ads. But there are one website that I like, but their adds are so annoying I can’t use the site (looking at you, BoingBoing). So I installed ABP on my iPad just for that one site.
However, it is tedious to whitelist all other websites that I want to visit.
I suggest an option in ABP to support an “innocent until proven guilty” mode, where it only blocks the sites that the user explicitly lists.
suggestion: blacklist instead of whitelist
Re: suggestion: blacklist instead of whitelist
If you use Chrome, you can go to your preferences and select Extensions and then click on Details for Adblock Plus. Under Site Access, select Specific Sites and click on Add a new page. Do this for http://www.boingboing.com, https://www.boingboing.com, https://boingboing.com, http://boingboing.com and you should have a way to run adblock only on that one site and white list all other sites. It works for me.
