Adblock Plus and OpenCandy

Recently I noticed that Adblock Plus is recommended through OpenCandy when installing a Windows application.
See this webpage for example: http://singularlabs.com/kb/list-of-reco ... installer/
This is in fact some kind of advertisement.
Isn't this contrary to the main (and I think even the sole) purpose of Adblock Plus to remove advertisements from the web?
I would like to get an explanation!

(In fact this post is not only about Adblock Plus for Firefox, but I couldn't think of a better place to post it.)

If you really read the article, it's not AdBlock+ that partnered with opensalt(in fact, opencandy is really salt for us users.). That company called "SingularLabs" is the one trying to destroying the reputation of our favorite adblocker.
In fact, that opencandy doesn't care into obtaining our location, OS, installed software...OpenCandy is tracking us. It hits you with direct advertising.
Why developers are doing this with us? :(
