User Control Panel - a second account?

When I login, 0 new messages shows at top.
I had three different topics I was following today.

When I started w/ABP ten years ago, if I had a question, I emailed Mr Palant.

Having an android tablet forced me to create a gmail account. I use it for Google app access, not contacts, or phone, or emails, especially on my second tablet.

Because I try my damnedest to separate my accounts (biz and personal) and likely because I wasn't someplace I could access my original account, I created a new login here. I needed it for the ABP app, before you created the better browser.

The bottom line to this is that I would like to add an additional email address. The one that you have on file, I almost never check. I miss your emails for that reason.
Should I create another account? Is that the only way to do it?

With a "new" account, can I take back to my old username which still populates my login here?
Will I get an error telling me it's already in use? Or will you confirm using the email account with which I created that account? Then I will be fine.
If that is not the process, can you release it so that I can take it back?

Thank you.

If you still have access to the e-mail address with which an old account was created, you will receive any password-reset e-mails sent to that account.

Of course, I do.
The specific question is: can I have two different email accounts? I would even prefer to merge and keep my original name, which is not Marco.

Thank you.

You can't merge accounts in phpBB; what you can do instead is recover your old account and just use that from now on.

I hope it's as easy as you seem to imply.

Thank you.
