first:
click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

if still you can not download:

you can download here the last stable build (1.3)

That is a server problem, for some reason the only site that requires IE to have TLS enabled is the adblockplus.org IE download site.
On the entire internet!

The server admin at adblockplus.org should fix that, that is just ridiculous. Look at all the people who have trouble with this!

FWIW I only had to enable TLS, SSL as you can imagine was already enabled. The download site is where the problem is.

Internet Explorer 11 — available for Windows 7 and 8 — has TLS 1.2 enabled by default and shouldn't experience any problems.

It's just sooooo bad that the ABP devs decided on a higher standard for session encryption

Our servers support TLS 1.0 and higher - that's the current recommendation and supported by default by IE 7.0 and higher. The only browser where TLS is switched off by default is the ancient Internet Explorer 6.0.

I find your decision to support IE6 incomprehensible, and I'm not the only one.

I'd appreciate an explanation in that thread, if you care to comment.

Hello,

No sorry Wladimir but in Europe TLS 1.0 is also switched off by default on Internet Explorer 8.0 in origin.

I would like know if Adblock Plus is compatible with Internet Explorer 8.0 and Windows 7 64 Bits Family Premium SP1 or not compatible :?:

I have also FireFox 29.0.1 with Adblock Plus, I like Adblock Plus, I do not want updated Internet Explorer 8.0 by Internet Explorer 10 or 11 for the moment but I like more, I prefer IE that FF but I do not like the Freezes so I would like know if Adblock Plus is good stable or not good stable with Internet Explorer 8 or a other Internet Explorer 9,10, or 11 which that :?: Or no one Internet Explorer is stable with Adblock Plus :?:

I am French, sorry for my very bad English...

I Mapx,

Thank you very much Mapx ! :D Me I use Internet Explorer since 14 Years and I have used Internet Explorer 5.5 until end 2010 on Win98 S.E.

For me Windows 98 S.E. and best that Windows XP that I had buy and sold again 15 days and again best that Windows Vista/7 and again very best that Windows 8, and Internet Explorer 5.5 best that Internet Explorer 8.0 exception of Zoom page 1000%.

In add I have FireFox since 10 days but not google toolbar compatible with function translated web page very important for me and no one plugins/extend for the full web pages on FireFox because I would not changed IE8 by IE10 or 11 because a website do not working...

 Think you that Chrome is best for security or utility that FireFox if use only two browsers in my computer :?:

Thanks so much. :)
