Adblock Plus + Proxy Settings apps

I use Adblock Plus in conjunction with Proxy Settings app for setting the wifi proxy settings on Android v4.4.4 stock ROM.

Proxy Settings (open source) can alter the proxy settings of wifi connections, why does Adblock need to manually configure the wifi proxy.

Can you please check the code from Proxy Settings and incorporate this automatic functionality accordingly ?
