Hi, I'm a new ABP user. First, thanks for making such a helpful product.
After reading the news that Facebook is beginning an effort to block ad-blocking software from working on FB's site, I'm interested to know what ABP's plans are to prevent this from succeeding. I am not on FB for this very reason--ads and other intrusive elements. But as a member of the public I still believe that this is an important issue, and I'd like to know where ABP stands on the matter.

Re: Facebook's Plan to Block Ad-Blockers?
hi,
I tried it with this regular expression but does not work
# * (u_jsonp_ \ d * _ \ d *)
while using real numbers blocks the "post recommended"
Example: # * (u_jsonp_ 15 _ 2)

Re: Facebook's Plan to Block Ad-Blockers?
there aren't allowed regular expressions in the hiding filters
try
facebook.com###u_jsonp_2_1
try
facebook.com###u_jsonp_2_1
Re: Facebook's Plan to Block Ad-Blockers?
this work fine: # * (u_jsonp_ 2_ 1)mapx wrote:there aren't allowed regular expressions in the hiding filters

the problem is that always change those numbers _2_1
Re: Facebook's Plan to Block Ad-Blockers?
well, probably we should wait to see the implementation of such things:

Re: Facebook's Plan to Block Ad-Blockers?

facebook.com##div[data-xt]
facebook.com##div[data-xt]
Re: Facebook's Plan to Block Ad-Blockers?
work fine for me but I do not understand the meaning of div[data-xt]mapx wrote:test this filter
facebook.com##div[data-xt]
thanks for explanation
Re: Facebook's Plan to Block Ad-Blockers?
It means "a div that has a data-xt attribute": https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/doc ... _selectorssucrat wrote:work fine for me but I do not understand the meaning of div[data-xt]
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.

Re: Facebook's Plan to Block Ad-Blockers?
So the bigger problem now is that ABP doesn't yet support the custom element hiding syntax required to block these ads?
Re: Facebook's Plan to Block Ad-Blockers?
for now just update easylist, see if works.
The above comment about implementation is the possibility to have a new feature to fight better (FB will respond to the new easylist filters ...)
