I have verified that hotstar.com uses a Flash-based video-player, and so does ekstrabladet.dk
This means that an Edge extension cannot intercept ads in those video-players.
The extension for Internet Explorer can do it, because ABP for IE actually bundles the V8 engine and re-implements the necessary APIs that the Chrome extension uses:
https://adblockplus.org/blog/working-to ... t-explorerThis sort of thing cannot be done in Microsoft Edge, because it does not allow binaries in extensions (in fact, the only significant browser that
allows but does not
require compiled executable binaries in extensions is Firefox, and ABP for Firefox has never used such binaries, and soon, Firefox will stop allowing them in extensions).
There's a buzzin' in my brain I really can't explain; I think about it before they make me go to bed.
