Suggestion: action for safari to whitelist site

Post by Digiplay »

As titled I'd like to see an action firmsafari to whitelist the current site. Ideally probably it's best to whitelist all subdominant with the wildcard, but it would make things much easier to not have to copy, go to app, add, paste, she. Return to safari.

Not sure if this is the right place or if there's a suggestions bin but just thought I'd add it and didn't see the request made already when I searched.

To the Adblock team , great work as always.

Hey Digiplay!

Thanks for reaching out to us.
I'm not entirely sure if I understood your request, but let me know in case I'm wrong.
The Adblock Plus for Safari does not allow custom filters.
Whitelisting a website would be another process to follow since it needs to comply with our Acceptable Ads criteria. Here you can find out more about it: acceptable-ads#application
The only app where you could actually manage some blocking features at the moment would be Adblock Browser.

In any case, I appreciate your suggestion and nice words. We will keep that in our list of improvements :)
Let us know in case you have any other question.

Hey @rach,
I think what @Digiplay is trying to say is that Adblock Plus for iOS should have an extension in the share button for Safari to quickly add websites to the whitelist on the app.
Whitelisting already be done but requires copying the web address of the website then exiting Safari, going to Adblock Plus app and then finally adding the website to the whitelist. This will be vastly expedited through an extension.

Something similar to this: http://i.imgur.com/alsY1R0.jpg

What needs to be created here is an Action Extension.

Hey gotitbro!

This is really a fantastic idea.
Although, is a feature request and not a bug.
So, I will pass that information internally and hope to have it implemented soon.
Let us know in case you have any other questions.

Cheers,
