Can I block any access to Facebook from other websites?

Post by Tomkeen »

I'd like to continue using Facebook but stop them from tracking me around the web. I know that they do it right now, their last TOS update explicitly says that. I've come to the conclusion that this can only be handled by technical measures on my own computer. (Forget agreements or even politics.) So what I'm looking for is basically a filter that blocks anything Facebook from loading on domains that are not Facebook themselves. This includes Like buttons, logins, iframes, and other tracking scripts. I guess that it must also include any media loaded from a Facebook server, like embedded videos or images.

Can you help me finding such a filter?

Google doesn't help me to block Facebook on websites, it only offers me help for blocking things inside Facebook.

@Tomkeen Thanks for reaching out! This question may be better suited for a thread specifically regarding filters try https://forums.lanik.us. ABP is not the owner of this site but these are the Authors of Easy List. I hope this helps!

Facebook monitors our activity as well as Google and shows relevant ads for us. I turn on the invisible mode of chrome so that cookies are not saved.
