ComputerWeek's images are missing.

Post by ant »

Hi!

Others ( http://entertainment.slashdot.org/comme ... d=25556889 ) and I are having problems in viewing images on ComputerWeekly's picture gallery on http://www.computerweekly.com/galleries ... onnery.htm ...

I found other image galleries on that Web site: http://www.computerweekly.com/Home/Gall ... gPage.aspx and all of them have the same problem.

Thank you in advance. :)

Works fine for me, maybe the website images were down.

If they are still not working, opening blockable items will tell you why they are being blocked.

I think I got it now. It's not ABP's fault.

If SeaMonkey's Minimum Font size is set to 12 or higher, then no images show up in Computer Weekly's Image Gallery: http://www.computerweekly.com/Home/Gall ... gPage.aspx ... Example: http://www.computerweekly.com/PhotoGall ... rosnan.jpg

I am going to report this to Mozilla. Sorry about that, guys! :(

Adblock problems on Computer Weekly

Post by RebeccaF@CW »

Hiya Ant and co.
Thanks for reporting this - we don't have adblock in-house (well, the ads do pay our salaries!) so this hadn't been spotted while we were testing the new photo gallery feature. We'll have a dig around in our style sheets etc and see if there's anything we can do at our end to improve things in a future release!

See above, Adblock Plus wasn't the problem after all. I can reproduce the issue ant had in Firefox as well - just use text zoom.

PS: Checking with DOM Inspector, apparently the image is positioned wrongly if text size is increased - it overflows the content column to the right, that's why it isn't visible. Looks like this page is made for one text size only, not a Mozilla issue either.
