clickbangpop.com

Post by irishmike »

It seems to have issues (just like AdThwart did) with blocking clickbangpop.com scripts that cause pop-ups when you click anywhere on a site. For an example, see http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Main_Page. I have tried to block it via custom filter, but it hasn't worked. My syntax might be wrong. Any suggestions?

Does this filter work?

Code: Select all

||clickbangpop.com^$third-party

I will report back in a day or so. The problem with this particular popup is that it doesn't do it every time. When I just tried it, I didn't get it. but I want to wait a day or two before saying yes. Thanks!

you could install notscripts extension to control the scripts

I tested the "clickbangpop.com" issue , I dont have any problem (with or without notscripts)

Yes, the filter that is actually required is this one:

Code: Select all

||max.gunggo.com^$third-party
Probably a good candidate for the Chrome-specific filter list.

PS: You need to clear cookies to have the pop-up appear again.
