Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
Looks like it hurt me adding this, seems it broke in chrome I'll revert this till its fixed. It looks like a adblock for chrome issue rather..
Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
Adblock Plus for Chrome uses the same code and will work correctly, it is really only Chrome Adblock where backwards compatibility won't work...
Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
Oh crap, I'm sorry. I came to this thread from an external site, I didn't see the "Future develepment" bit >_<
I use v1.3.3. My bad :p

Looks like its fixed, I'll wait a week or so for the adblock for chrome changes to filter out to all the users...

Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
Will there be a config entry to turn this off like NoScript has?
Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
All you have to do is disable the filter to turn it off.

Or not subscribe to a privacy protection filter subscription in the first place...
Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
WTF is this header for? tracking the person who does not want to be tracked?
Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
The header is sent to request exactly the opposite: that the user is not tracked. It has even been suggested that industry practice might require that the request is honoured.
Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
Please note that the header name changed into DNT (https://hg.adblockplus.org/adblockplus/rev/90fb9d0e85ba).
Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
In the latest beta of firefox 4 (beta 11) DNT is supported by a new entry in options that says "Tell websites I don't want to be tracked", anyone who wants this feature can enable this function. So, what is the necessity of having DNT in EasyPrivacy ? I think the DNT rule sould be removed when firefox 4 final version release comes
Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
a) Adblock Plus 1.3.5 will be out (significantly?) before Firefox 4.
b) Firefox 3.5/3.6 users as well as SeaMonkey/Songbird users might be interested in protecting their privacy as well.
c) Anybody who uses EasyPrivacy already indicated that he cares about his privacy, why require them to check another option?
d) The Adblock Plus feature is way more flexible than the planned Firefox feature and allows exceptions on particular domains for example (whether this will be necessary is something we still need to see).

Re: [Done] Supporting X-Do-Not-Track header
I have another one question;
When a tracking element is blocked via EasyPrivacy, does the DNT header still goes to the tracking company ?
