ABP is known to have weakness against popups, I imagine the Chrome version is no different. You could always try this:

Well, it's not exactly a "weakness" - Adblock Plus simply doesn't block pop-ups, neither on Firefox nor on Chrome. It's only that sometimes you can block the script that opens the pop-up.
