Install Adblock Plus freezes on "Checking..."

If I install Adblock Plus through the webstore, I click the "+ Add to Chrome" button, and then approve the dialog box that pops up. The "Add to Chrome" button changes to "Checking..." and never proceeds past that. Chrome doesn't freeze; computer doesn't freeze; but nothing is accomplished.

If I try to install from the website, I click "Install" and approve the dialog box, and then nothing happens.

Same problem here.

OSX 10.7.3
Chrome Version 19.0.1084.46 (most current)

Have tried this on two computers, and unable to get it to install on either of them. From the web store I'm able to get as far as the "download", but the downloaded file is listed as "interrupted" and 0 bytes actually download.

I found that none of these worked for me, I did finally get it to work though.
My problem was that the file that it wants to use for the adblock plus .crx .
Since it is a chrome attachment, it needs chrome to operate.
I found that I could not find chrome anywhere in those files.
It was hidden in the appdata file, which for some reason is hidden on my computer.
I had to go my search bar at the start menu, search chrome, and bring it up.
It was then under a couple files, so I went back and moved the entire Google file to my C drive in an accessible spot where it is no longer hidden.
Be sure if you do this to delete the chrome from your desktop and "reshortcut" it because it has moved and that shortcut is no longer usable.
I then went and downloaded adblock plus and it works just fine now.
I figured this out for myself, so it might only work on my computer, but it worked!!
I have Windows 7.

MoriahRiot, can you explain what you did a little more clearly? I have two drives on my computer, but I checked and Google Chrome was in the C drive where it should be... I'm not sure what to do.
