Adblock Plus has been updated!

What’s new?

Here is an overview of some recent improvements.

Improved ad blocking functionality. Many websites look for ways to prevent Adblock Plus from blocking annoying ads. That’s why we’ve focused on improving our ability to block these ads and keep up with these ever changing sites. With the newly redesigned AdBlock for Safari, along with updates in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, you’ll continue to see less intrusive ads as you browse the web.

Improved architecture for the future.. Manifest V3, the latest version of the extension platform for Chromium based browsers, is on the horizon. And we’ve been getting ready for it! MV3 represents a large shift in how browser extensions will work, requiring our team to make some big changes to how Adblock Plus works. We’ve made lots of progress so that we can continue to serve our users as the internet landscape changes.

Customize pages as you browse. We’ve released our block element feature which allows you to block parts of a webpage even if it’s not an ad. For instance, you could find parts of a web page, like sidebar suggestions, particularly annoying. With this new feature, you can block any part of a page so that it remains hidden every time you visit that site.

Adblock Plus Premium is here! With Adblock Plus Premium, you can block more targeted distractions across websites including site notifications, floating videos, newsletter pop-ups, and more. You can learn more about Premium here. And if you’ve already contributed before, you can access these Premium features right away.
