I also tried it on two different machines. Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 . On some websites the ads are blocked, but on others like youtube and TPB they aren't.
Disabling multi-core fixed it though. But I really would like to use multicore.

Can confirm that ads are not being blocked on multi-process with this page: http://www.delfi.ee/ (it is an Estonian news site). When I didn't have multi-process turned on, the background ad wasn't showing nor the bottom fixed ad nor most of the ads. Now they aren't blocked, all the ads are visible and ABP doesn't show any blockable items. I just installed a fresh ABP dev version from the site and didn't help. Thought might be of help for researching.
Re: FireFox Dev. Edition 40.0a2 Multiprocess
I'm a longtime FF and ABP user and am also a developer but have never done any serious coding in regards to either FF or ABP.
I'm poking around some to see what the coding issues are. Is what needs to be done consist of the steps under "Updating your code" here?
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add ... Add-on_SDK
Basically add-on code now has to do ipc between the add-on and the content it wishes to affect as intermediated by something called a frame script.
Does ABP currently use the Add-on SDK? I don't find evidence of the SDK in the code, but then I don't necessarily know how or where to look.

Like I keep saying, whatever the issue is, it's fixed in the latest Nightly. So chances are if the Mozilla developers look into what the fix was, it might be uplifted to Aurora (Firefox Developer Edition). This seems like the relevant bug report:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1057467
Edit: 2015-05-23 FDE build now works.

the last aurora version 40.0a2 (2015-05-23) is working fine with the multi process enabled
