After some research and feedback from our users, we found that "always use private browsing mode" interferes with ABP functionality in the latest version. Disabling this allows ABP to run as normal. To do this, click the settings menu icon in the right corner of the browser > settings >privacy & security > scroll down to the history section > choose "Use custom settings for history" from the drop down menu > uncheck "always use private browsing mode". If you need more assistance please contact us via support@adblockplus.org.
Thanks

I had this issue and I tried every tip and trick on the internet and nothing worked, untill this one. This finally fixed the issue for me, but is was a lot of wasted time before I got here.... I do not understand why ADP does nog instantly fixes this, because this affects a lot of people and it's very frustrating to fix it manually.

Is this bug fixed now with the new Version 3.1.4?
And what does this statement from Adblock Plus means "Thanks for reaching out to us! After some research we found that after the update users saw "always use private browsing mode" enabled in FF. Disabling this allows ABP to run as normal. To do this, click the settings menu icon in the right corner of the browser > settings >privacy & security > scroll down to the history section > choose "Use custom settings for history" from the drop down menu > uncheck "always use private browsing mode".
Means that adblock plus has made changes in the firefox browser settings without permission in the History Settings and enabled automatically "always use private browsing mode! ?

Hi guys,
Surprised to encounter ads in the latest Firefox version. I've always valued its clean, ad-free experience. Hope this doesn't become a trend.

How to counteract Adblock Plus detection on specific websites?
Are there any effective strategies or workarounds to bypass Adblock Plus detection on websites that actively block adblockers, especially without compromising user experience or security?
