Thanks for reaching out for help. Have you tried turning off the "Show acceptable ads" option in the settings page? By default, Adblock Plus blocks all intrusive ads, but non-intrusive ones are still being shown. So if you want to block all ads, turning off that option will also lead to non-intrusive ads being blocked.

I have a slightly different situation, for about a week now Google has been asking me to disable Adblock Plus on some sites.
